MOUNT TENERIFE:

The mountain is located next to the Prat Range and just to the south of national park Torres del Paine. With a climb of at least 1400 meters to do, we will have an early start. Spending a little over an hour to get to the foot of the mountain we will be walking in the early morning light finding the cowtrail leading up. After some bushwacking we will make our way out of the forest and start right away with amazing views of the Paine Masiff looking all the way to the fjords. Still almost 600 meters of ascending to go, we will get to a rocky/snowy climb and at the top a beautiful white view awaits. Chacabuco and the Southern Icefield in all its glory filling the west view of Tenerife. Enjoying for a while we will have to turn around and make our way back to the car. After another hour we will arrive at RedPoint for our victory beer.

DON'T FORGET:

Even though it is a one day trek don't forget we are in Patagonia. This means you have to be ready for any kind of weather. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen but also as a rain jacket and a warm layer.
